“But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord . . .” Philippians 3:7-8a ESV
This was the Scripture passage that I recited in my last post which was seven months ago! The last seven months have been a blur, really. The “easy fix” of thyroid cancer surgery has turned into several long months of side effects and doctor visits and migraine headaches and hypothyroidism and falls and a weakened heart (how’s that for an inclusive sentence!?)
What I have seen, and what God continues to remind me, is that whether or not my health is constant or predictable; whether or not my finances, or relationships, or weather are predictable or constant, GOD IS CONSTANT
“You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment, like a robe you will roll them up,like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.” (Hebrews 1:10-12 ESV)
Where have you seen God’s constancy in your life? Are you trusting that His love is as unfailing today as it was yesterday, or seven months ago?
