“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
(James 1:5-8 ESV)
Imagine . . .the Creator of the Universe, the Sovereign Lord of all, invites me to ask Him for wisdom! He also gives the assurance that I won’t be reproached (beat down, reprimanded) for asking Him. He wants to freely give me wisdom. He wants to answer my questions.
This passage has sparked some curiosity within me. What kinds of questions have others asked God? What are appropriate questions? What questions should we not ask?
This will be the subject of some future blogs. I would love to read what you think.
