For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity,whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. . .Isaiah 57:15
The One — not one, or some one — the Being with no equal, no comparison
inhabits eternity — humanity, and this universe is locked in time and space; God is not. He is not limited by time or space or anything
name is Holy– we share names and titles, such as mother, woman, sister, even our given names are not unique. However, God does not even share his name with another. He is altogether set apart
and yet, god chooses to dwell with those people who have a contrite and lowly spirit, those who see how holy and perfect God is, and how un-perfect and sinful I am.
he not only chooses to dwell, but in His mercy does not leave me in this pitiful state of despair at my wretchedness. He revives my spirit, he revives my heart to enable me to worship and know His love and grace. Such love has no equal, such mercy no bounds.
