Psalm 100:1-5 ESV – A Psalm for giving thanks.
1 Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!
2 Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!
3 Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
5 For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
Father in heaven,
You created us to have joy, to sing praises. What an incredible God You are! You want us to come into Your presence; You want us to know You. We are Yours — not as property or trinkets, but we belong to You as Your children. You created us for relationship with You.
You are good. What You do is good. Even if the present circumstances don’t make sense or are difficult; even if it seems that sadness and confusion are overwhelming — You are good. You are eternal. You are all-knowing. You are holy. Your steadfast love will never end. You will never stop being my heavenly Father. I will never stop being Your loved child.
Thank You, Lord, for Your never-ending love and care. Thank You for giving me joy.
amen
