weekly prayer 09.03.18

Psalm 133:1-3 ESV – 1 A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! 3 It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the LORD has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.

Thank You for friends, Lord. For those who are feeling friendless and alone, I pray that they would know that You are here, and You are a friend who sticks closer than a brother, because You are God . .

There is so much conflict and division, Lord – in families, in churches, in communities, in countries. Father, I repent of my self-righteousness, of my need to win and to “be right.” God, I want Your will; I want to follow Your ways. Lord, I cannot compromise Your truth, Your Word, but oh, I don’t have to always get my way . . .I can trust You to care for me . . .

Psalm 134:1-3 ESV – 1 A Song of Ascents. Come, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, who stand by night in the house of the LORD! 2 Lift up your hands to the holy place and bless the LORD! 3 May the LORD bless you from Zion, he who made heaven and earth!

God, may Your name be praised in all the earth! Start with Your people, with those who call You Father. May we bless Your name together. May we be willing to stand together to praise You – no personal agenda, no self-interest, no bitterness or selfish ambition. You are the God who made heaven and earth. You are our Savior, our Creator. You are everything. We love You.

Amen

This week please remember our brothers and sisters in Palestinian Territories. Those who convert from Islam are persecuted by family and mistrusted by Jewish extremists. Many are in hiding, and are lonely. Christians are a very small minority in this war-torn region

I want to know what you think!
