Read Through the Bible 2019 Week 18 — Are you Content with God’s Assignments?

This week we finished Ecclesiastes
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 ESV – 13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.

Continued on in Revelation 13-19

God’s sovereignty; God’s timing.

and began Numbers 1-14

God gave assignments. God assigned where each tribe should set up in camp. God assigned the Levites specific tasks, and even assigned where they should camp around the tent of meeting.
The grumbling was, at root, because of the discontent with God’s assignment.
And we saw God’s justice, and God’s mercy.
God’s plans for us are for our good and for his glory.

Ephesians 2:8-10 ESV – 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Do I trust God’s plans for me? Do I trust him to give me my assignments?
