Preparing our Hearts for the Holidays — Day 3

Posted on: October 16, 2019

INFINITE

God is beyond measurement— we cannot define Him by size or amount. He has no beginning, no end, and no limits.

Romans 11:33 ESV – 33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!

Psalm 147:5 ESV – 5 Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.

Almighty God,

No beginning. No end. No measurement. No limit. No changing. No sin. No injustice. You are God, infinite, beyond comprehension.

And yet, You have revealed Yourself to me in Your Word. You have given me understanding to learn and to know You. Every good gift is from You, the source of all that is. You saved me, You know my name (Exodus 33:17) and You know every detail of me (Psalm 139).

What a comfort that You have no limit, that You are eternal. There is nothing beyond Your comprehension, nothing beyond Your eternal power. For from You and through You and to You are all things. You get all the glory! (from Romans 11:36)

I love You, Lord. I am Yours. You are my God, forever and ever.

Amen
