Plea for Grace

Preparing our Hearts for the Holidays — Day 13

Posted on: October 30, 2019

JEHOVAH-ROPHE “Jehovah heals.”

God alone provides the remedy for mankind’s brokenness through His son, Jesus Christ. The Gospel is the physical, moral, and spiritual remedy for all people.

Deuteronomy 32:39 ESV – 39 “‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.

Job 5:17-18 ESV – 17 “Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves; therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. 18 For he wounds, but he binds up; he shatters, but his hands heal.

Almighty God,

You are the God of all creation. You are almighty, You are all-powerful, You are all-knowing — and You care for Your children. You do not waste one hurt, or one minute of confusion I experience. You are the God who heals. You heal in Your time. You heal in Your way.

I praise You that, when You heal, You act for my best, for my good. Emotional healing, mental healing, healing of relationships — those kinds of healing are as important to You as physical healing. Because You are wise, and because You are good, You will always do what is for my best.

And, Hallelujah, when I am in heaven for all of eternity, I will experience complete and total healing in every way — forever!

amen
