Preparing our Hearts for the Holidays — Day 16

OMNIPRESENT

God is everywhere, in and around everything, close to everyone. “‘Do not I fill heaven and earth?’ declares the Lord.”

Psalm 139:7-12 ESV – 7 Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? 8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! 9 If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,” 12 even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you.

Precious Father,

There is no corner of earth, no hideaway or anywhere that You are not there. Rather than a fearsome thing, it is a tremendous comfort that You see everything and are everywhere, in all time, at once. Nothing escapes You. Nothing is outside of Your control.

I thank You for Your majesty. Thank You for Your care. Thank You for Your salvation. You are everything.

amen

  1. I know this was from the holidays, but I am so relieved that God can be with me and at the same time with my children who are out of state. It’s comforting to know that he is with the First Responders , and the caregivers in the hospital, in Italy and in New York. He is everywhere at once. He sees things from an airplane View and yet at the same exact time is in our hearts. I am so very thankful.

I want to know what you think!
