Plea for Grace January 3, 2022

Psalm 3:4-5 ESV – 4 I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. 5 I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me.

Precious Father,

I am so accustomed to crying out to You and knowing that You answer that I rarely stop to think of what a miracle, what a profound blessing that is! You are the God of the universe, the Creator of heaven and earth — and you listen to me. You not only listen, but You answer! Lord, help me to consistently listen and obey. I pray that my friends and family would call out to You constantly and obey when You answer. You answer by Your Word, so I pray that we would be faithful to read Your Word and seek You with all our hearts.

For those who are sick and weary, who are anxious about the future, I pray they would cry out to You. I pray they would trust in Your sustaining power. It is true of all creation that every breath is because You sustain that life.

Deuteronomy 32:3-4 ESV – 3 For I will proclaim the name of the LORD; ascribe greatness to our God! 4 “The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.

Amen
