Psalm 6:2-4, 8-9 ESV – 2 Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am languishing; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are troubled. 3 My soul also is greatly troubled. But you, O LORD–how long? 4 Turn, O LORD, deliver my life; save me for the sake of your steadfast love. … 8 Depart from me, all you workers of evil, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping. 9 The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD accepts my prayer.
Gracious Father,
I am in awe of Your steadfast love — so undeserved! Revive me by Your Word (Psalm 119:25) when I am languishing, when my friends and family are greatly troubled. Oh, there are so many troubles in this world! What a gift that You hear, that You save, that there is hope beyond this broken world.
Lord, for my family (and friends’ family) who don’t hope in You, I pray – 18 …that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me [Jesus]. (Acts 26:18 ESV)
amen
