Psalm 23:1-6 ESV – 1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Heavenly Father, my Good Shepherd,
Help me to be content with what You give and to trust You. What a privilege and profound mercy that You have adopted me as Your child, and I can call You Father. . .Help me to listen to You, and go where You send me — and stay and wait when You command. When I am exhausted, I want to rest in You. When I am going through uncertain and frightening valleys, remind me of Your constant presence. Even when I can see the “enemies” I know that You are behind and before me, and all around me . . .Lord, I have an eternal home with You. I am securely Yours forever. You are my God, my Savior, my All . . .

Day 5: Even being a foreign Christian in Libya is
difficult. Pray for an openness to religious freedom in
the hearts of average Libyans.
You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all
I’m seeking You like a precious jewel
Lord, to give up I’d be a fool
You are my all in all
