1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ESV – 19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
Psalm 138:8 ESV – 8 The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
Lord God,
You redeemed me to rescue me from my bondage to sin and death. I belong to You, but unlike the Egyptian slaves, I am not just a piece of property to be used; I am Your beloved child, a joint-heir with Christ (Romans 8). You are my Creator, my Shepherd, my Sovereign; You know what I need, and You will fulfill Your purpose for me.
I do not begrudge Your generosity. I am safe in Your care. Psalm 25:4-5 ESV – 4 Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. 5 Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.
