Psalm 111:10 ESV – 10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!
Proverbs 8:8-11 ESV – (wisdom is speaking) 8 All the words of my mouth are righteous; there is nothing twisted or crooked in them. 9 They are all straight to him who understands, and right to those who find knowledge. 10 Take my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold, 11 for wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her.
Lord,
True wisdom is loving You with my whole heart, mind and strength. True wisdom is trusting in Your goodness and Your holiness. You will always do what is right. You teach me and guide me according to Your Word. I will praise You forever!
Pray for the Persecuted Church – OpenDoorsUSA
Despite almost half the population identifying as Christian, believers in Eritrea continue to suffer extreme persecution, making it one of the hardest places in the world to follow Jesus. Christians not part of recognized denominations are at risk of severe persecution. Gatherings are raided and believers arrested. The conditions facing Christians in prison can be inhumane.
Christians imprisoned in Eritrea’s notorious prison system are still living for Jesus. “Until you adapt to life
in prison, you face some ‘difficulties,’” says one brother who was in prison for six years. “But, once I had adapted, I had consistent prayer and Bible reading. In prison, one of my main purposes as a Christian was to evangelize.
Wow! The prayer requests for persecuted believers continue to humble me and help me realize just how very blessed I am. Continued prayers for the believers in Eritrea, and for their commitment to share Christ whether in prison or not.
What a privilege to hold them up before the throne
