Plea for Grace February 20, 2022

Psalm 32:8 ESV – 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

Leviticus 9:23-24 ESV – 23 And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting, and when they came out they blessed the people, and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people. 24 And fire came out from before the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar, and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.

Psalm 37:39-40 ESV – 39 The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; he is their stronghold in the time of trouble. 40 The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.

Mark 4:37-41 ESV – 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. 38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” 39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” 41 And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

God, You are righteous and holy, awesome in power. You are merciful and abounding in steadfast love. Psalm 18:30 ESV – 30 This God–his way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. Help me to trust You always, to follow Your commands always, to know that You are my refuge always. . .
