Plea for Grace February 24, 2022

Psalm 19:12-14 ESV – 12 Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. 13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

Jeremiah 17:9-10 ESV – 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? 10 “I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”

Lord,

When I think that all of the purification and atonement rituals You prescribed in Leviticus are “so detailed” it is a “red flag” to me that I discount the seriousness of my sin. Jesus rightly condemned the Pharisees for their hypocrisy. They washed their hands religiously but failed to clean their hearts from envy and murder. It’s so easy for me to ignore my blind spots and rationalize those sins that I think no one else sees. Please, Lord, remove my blinders; cleanse my heart; renew my mind. Psalm 119:33-34 ESV – 33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end. 34 Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.

Thank You for Your steadfast love and Your faithfulness.

leaders, that they would allow different religions to
peacefully worship.

Pray for the Church in Ukraine –pray for wisdom and discernment; pray that they would be bold in the face of great danger. Pray that invading troops would be stopped, and those invaders would be saved Acts 26:18 ESV – 18 to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me [Jesus].’
