Psalm 118:1 ESV – 1 Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!
Thank You, God, for Your never-changing love for me. You are completely trustworthy; You will never break Your promises.
Psalm 118:5-6 ESV – 5 Out of my distress I called on the LORD; the LORD answered me and set me free. 6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
What a privilege that I can call on You anytime, anywhere, and You hear my cries to You! You are on my side, Lord. You will never leave me.
Psalm 118:8-9 ESV – 8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. 9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.
You are trustworthy; You are holy; You are righteous; You are for me; You are for my good. People can betray me; people can break promises; people can fail. You will never fail to fulfill Your purpose for me.
Psalm 118:13-14 ESV – 13 I was pushed hard, so that I was falling, but the LORD helped me. 14 The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
Even when life is really hard, You are still holy; Your steadfast love and faithfulness do not change. Psalm 119:75-76 ESV – 75 I know, O LORD, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me. 76 Let your steadfast love comfort me according to your promise to your servant.
Psalm 118:24 ESV – 24 This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Difficult days; disappointing days; days when my expectations are shattered; days when I fail; days that I fear will never end; happy days; exciting days; days when I get more than I expected; productive days —-You, God, have made each and every one of them, and I rejoice that You are God, You are for me, You are sovereign and You will fulfill Your purpose for me.
I trust You. I worship You. I submit to You as my Savior, my King, my God.

Day 1: Pray that the new president will honor the rights
and contributions of Iran’s religious minorities.
Every day is a new day for me, but God knows the end from the beginning. He knows all about this day. He knows the places where I will need His strong arm to lift me up. He knows the places where I will need His comfort. And He knows the places that will bring me joy, where I will lift up my voice in praise and thanksgiving. Nothing about this day will surprise Him, but that doesn’t mean He is not already there, waiting to go through it with me. Thank you, Lord.
