Plea for Grace March 12, 2022

John 3:17-19 ESV – 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

Oh, Almighty God,

What mercy and grace. You sent Your Son into the world to save. How foolish to want darkness rather than light. How wicked to reject the offer of salvation from our Creator.

Lord, help me always to want Your light. I want to live in obedience to Your Word. Psalm 119:33-35 ESV – 33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end. 34 Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart. 35 Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it.
