Plea for Grace March 22, 2022

Deuteronomy 10:12-13, 16 ESV – 12 “And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 and to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD, which I am commanding you today for your good? … 16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no longer stubborn.

Lord,

You state clearly in Your word, who You are, how You have provided and protected and led and gathered. You never lie. You are always faithful to Your word. And yet our hearts are so stubborn. We are so prone to want to make our own way. We want to be the god of our own destiny. How foolish that is . . . What mercy that Your choosing me is not based on my merit, but on Your grace. You require that I fear You, obey You, love You, serve You, not to earn Your favor, but as a response to Your love and grace to me.

What a mighty God You are . . .

  • Daily Wisdom
  • Psalm 22, 52, 82, 112, 142
  • Proverbs 22
something to consider: if you keep to this schedule of "daily wisdom" for one year, you will have read the entire book of psalms 12 times (psalm 119 7 times) and the book of Proverbs 12 times. That is renewing your mind with solid godly wisdom

I want to know what you think!
