Psalm 25:1-5 ESV – 1To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul. 2 O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me. 3 Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. 4 Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. 5 Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.
Almighty God,
What a profound privilege that I can lift up my soul to You. You want me to bring my hurts and fears and frustrations to You because I am Your child and You are my Father. I do trust You. You will always do what is best for me. You will never lie to me. You will always be true to Your Word.
I want to know Your ways, Lord. I want You to teach me. I submit to Your ways because they are right. I reject selfish interest and bitterness because they will destroy me. Your truth is the truth. Your path for me is the right path. You have saved me. You have chosen me. I am Your servant. I long to do Your will.
