Plea for Grace March 28, 2022

John 21:21-22 ESV – 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!”

Psalm 57:1-2 ESV – 1 Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge, till the storms of destruction pass by. 2 I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me.

Psalm 138:8 ESV – 8 The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.

Lord,

It is foolish and wicked to covet another person’s purpose. You have called and equipped me to be and to do Your will Ephesians 2:10 ESV – 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Father, what mercy and grace . . .Romans 8:28-29 ESV – 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Your transparency is a beacon of light that leads me back to the the truths of God’s word as I wrestle with my own life issues.

Focus on my purpose, not what anyone else might be doing, or called to do.

I want to know what you think!
