Psalm 100:1-5 ESV - A Psalm for giving thanks. 1 Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! 2 Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! 3 Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! 5 For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
Father in Heaven,
The birds praise You with their song. The wind blows through the trees and the leaves sing Your praise. The water rushes down the stream and towards the ocean; the rushing declares Your majesty. I praise You that I am able to praise You. You have given me life and a voice and the understanding to know that You are God. As I serve You today, I will be glad that You have given me the ability to minister, the capacity to be a help.
In church today, Lord, give the people who serve by singing and playing instruments strength and health. I pray they would be blessed by the words they sing; blessed and convicted and awed by Your holiness. I pray that those who teach would be faithful to Your word; that they would be thankful for the opportunity to share Your truth. I pray that all who come would know that You are God. Your faithfulness endures forever. You are worthy of all praise. For those who have not received Your gift of salvation, I pray that today You would open their understanding and open their hearts to submit to You as Savior and Lord. Psalm 119:68 ESV – 68 You are good and do good; teach me your statutes.

We used to sing this when I taught at a private school:
It’s a happy day, and I thank God for the weather
It’s a happy day, living it for my Lord
It’s a happy day, things are gonna get better
Living each day by the promises in God’s word
