Psalm 114:7-8 ESV – 7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, 8 who turns the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of water.
Almighty God,
You are holy. You are sovereign over all. You are not ‘the man upstairs’ or ‘the big guy’ or my buddy. You are God in heaven. All creation is under Your rule. There is no one or no thing in heaven or on earth equal to You. Yet, You love me. You chose me to be Your child. You lead me and guide me by Your word. You have given me Your word so that I might know You. Amazing grace!

Daily Wisdom Psalm 24, 54, 84, 114, 144 Proverbs 24
You love me, and you chose me!
How deep the Father’s love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory
Behold the man upon a cross
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished
I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom
