Plea for Grace April 29, 2022

Psalm 119:89-96 ESV -
89 Forever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.
90 Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast.
91 By your appointment they stand this day, for all things are your servants.
92 If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
93 I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life.
94 I am yours; save me, for I have sought your precepts.
95 The wicked lie in wait to destroy me, but I consider your testimonies.
96 I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commandment is exceedingly broad.

God, Your word is forever. Your faithfulness is forever. Your sovereignty is forever. Your promise is forever. Your salvation is forever.

My affliction is temporary. My enemies are temporary. My disappointments are temporary.

I know the sun is in the sky. I know the leaves will bud and the flowers will bloom. I know that a day is a 24-hour period. I know that Your rule over all is perfect. Your care for me is perfect. Your word is perfect.

Thank You for Your word. Your word strengthens me, encourages me, convicts me of sin, teaches me how to leave, shows me who You are. Your Word is true and faithful. Even if the sun were to stop rising, and the trees would stop blooming Your Word and Your faithfulness would still remain. Psalm 18:30-31 ESV – 30 This God–his way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. 31 For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God?–
