Plea for Grace May 23, 2022

Psalm 143:8-10 ESV -
8 Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
9 Deliver me from my enemies, O LORD! I have fled to you for refuge.
10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!

Lord, I want to start my day with You. Your word teaches me, convicts me of sin, guides me in my way, strengthens me, gives me life. You are my refuge and I am safe in Your arms. I want to do Your will. I need You to be my teacher. My heart is so deceitful; I need the wisdom that You give so graciously. Psalm 119:65-66 ESV – 65 You have dealt well with your servant, O LORD, according to your word. 66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments.

Pray for the Persecuted Church — OpenDoorsUSA

Christians who are a part of non-registered churches in Uzbekistan
may be viewed as “extremists,” and the government
believes church members are spies trying to destroy
the government. A new criminal code was drafted
in 2021 that penalizes the distribution of religious
literature, meeting for worship without government
permission and “talking about faith.”

Day 1: Pray for Christians in Uzbekistan who are discriminated
against in work or society because of their faith
