Plea for Grace May 31, 2022

Psalm 119:97-104 ESV -
97 Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.
98 Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.
100 I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.
101 I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word.
102 I do not turn aside from your rules, for you have taught me.
103 How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.

God’s Word is so precious. I will never be able to exhaust the riches of God’s Word. God’s steadfast love and faithfulness is new every morning. God gives wisdom through His Word. God gives understanding through His Word. God gives guidance through His Word. God gives “a way of escape” from temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13) by the Holy Spirit through His Word. God gives steadfastness through His Word. God helps us love Him more through His Word. God helps us hate sin through His Word. Thank You, God, for Your precious Word.

  1. This morning, as I prepared for my day, I found myself thinking, “I get to work on my Bible study lesson.” It caught me unaware, as I frequently am in the camp of “Oh no! I have to get my lesson done.” What a change in attitude our thoughts make!! Lord, be the keeper of my thoughts, and let them always be pleasing to you!

I want to know what you think!
