Plea for Grace June 8, 2022

Proverbs 8:12-13 ESV -
12 "I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion.
13 The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

It’s not possible to love sin and hold God in reverence and worship. In fact, the more I know God and His ways and learn to worship Him, the more I hate my sin. Pride and arrogance are enemies of worship of God. Perverted speech cannot praise our Savior. God, cleanse my heart and my tongue. Give me an undivided heart to fear Your name (psalm 86:11)

  1. Psalm 39:1
For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David.
I said, “I will watch my ways and keep my tongue from sin; I will put a muzzle on my mouth while in the presence of the wicked.”

    Psalm 141:3
Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips.
