Plea for Grace July 25, 2022

Psalm 25:1-5 ESV - 
1 To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul. 
2 O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me. 
3 Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. 
4 Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. 
5 Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.

Oh, there is so much in this prayer of David! O Lord, I do put my trust in You. I cry out to You. You are more powerful than any enemy. You are the Sovereign of all creation. You are sovereign over everything — even the hard, even the hard to understand. This earth and everything in it is Yours.

Because this is Your creation and You know what is best — show me YOUR ways (because I always have my own ideas) and teach me YOUR paths (because I am prone to wander off on my own). Lead me in YOUR truth (because my heart will deceive me into so many lies) and teach me (and help me be a faithful and obedient learner).

You saved me. You love me. You are my God. You will fulfill Your purpose for me. I even submit to Your timetable in all things.
